which in numbers is perfection. it has taken me four years to get to it at last but at last i have done it. straight As. it's never too late to catch a glimpse. impossible no longer.

my sister broke her $300 mp3 player. i found it bereft and beaten up in an old brown laundry basket in the garage. from there i rescued it, charged it, and tested the earphones. it was indeed broken but at least i can use the battery as back up since we have the same player. let nothing go to waste. especially if it costs you $300. i even swabbed it with a damp cloth, hoping to clean off the strange adhesive on the screen. the poor thing.

i love the history channel.

i cut my thumb with a knife lastnight cutting up some pears. loved the pears, but for that love i now have a thumb that twinges every now and then. it'll take another day or two to heal. by which time i would have eaten a few more pears and perhaps cut a few more fingers.

spent most of my vacation doing practically nothing. i've been reading a lot. i've been writing stories since i was 11 and i've been reading some of the old things. a lot of it is embarassing. some of it is rather interesting. i'm not proud of all of it, but there are some ideas there that i can definitely expand upon.

we ate persian food for christmas. i highly recommend it. i don't even like raisins but they served us this special basmati rice with raisins and dates and lentils. it was so good it was ridiculous. even the raisins.
